Any modality can provide the results you want. It really depends on how you want to get them and which one(s) give(s) you the best results.

Thai massage has been around for thousands of years and is one of the most common forms of alternative medicine in Thailand. Using a blend of compressions, strokes and lots of facilitated stretching, Thai massage will help you release stress and relieve pain, increase flexibility, and help you function more effectively at work and home. Very similar to Shiatsu, it is traditionally performed on the floor, fully clothed in comfortable loose fitting clothes or workout attire.

Shiatsu is a meditative healing art that honors the body, mind and spirit. The focus of techniques used in Shiatsu is compressions. Stroking or brushing is incorporated as well as some stretching. The direct stimulation of pressure points along the energy pathways of your body and stretching techniques are applied to the body to encourage the flow of Chi (energy) throughout the body. Like Thai, it is traditionally performed on the floor, but is also versatile enough to be on a table. Either way, comfortable, loose fitting clothes or workout attire is worn.

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is an intense and highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested and some brisk cardio is recommended afterwards to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing, less intense style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Chair Massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over your clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage.
